Police are looking for a man suspected of assaulting a church pastor and burglarizing a Silver Spring church three times. On Jan. 9, a pastor at New Creation Baptist Church found someone hiding in a closet. The man punched the pastor before fleeing, Montgomery County police said. Earlier that day, it was discovered that someone stole a water jug containing 30,000 pennies from youth fundraising efforts in an office. Another 10,000 pennies were missing from a computer room.

And between Nov. 28 and Dec. 2, someone broke in and took a safe with documents and cash.

Police have not definitively linked the three incidents, but suspect the same person is responsible.
