D.C. police have released video of a person of interest in a Northeast D.C. homicide.
On July 26, D.C. Fire and EMS officials were called to the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue Northeast for the report of an intoxicated male. They found 61-year-old Darryl Eugene Sweet Sr. unconscious and unresponsive and took him to a hospital. Sweet was pronounced dead the next day.
An autopsy found that Sweet died of blunt force trauma to the head, police said, and his death was ruled a homicide.
