Montgomery County police and the FBI are investigating an armed robbery that took place Saturday morning in Rockville.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a suspect entered the Wachovia Bank at 404 King Farm Boulevard, displayed a handgun, and fled in a vehicle after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Witnesses describe the vehicle, seen driving toward Route 355, as possibly a black Corvette. Anyone with information is asked to call the Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section at 240-773-5100.
