The first meeting of the Prince George’s County task force charged with examining whether the county needs an ethics watchdog agency has been rescheduled to Jan. 29, said Scott Peterson, a spokesman for County Executive Rushern Baker.

The Saturday morning meeting will be held at Prince George's Community College in Largo. The first scheduled meeting was cancelled on Jan. 12 because of the snow.

Baker said he wants the Accountability, Compliance and Integrity Advisory Board to make recommendations about whether the county should establish an inspector general's office or similar watchdog agency.

He also wants the task force, led by former Baltimore Mayor Kurt Schmoke and retired Prince George's County Circuit Court Judge William Missouri, to review existing county oversight operations.
