I made up a word! (ap photo)
Gotta luv the Twitter! Sarah Palin got into the fray over the weekend about a proposed mosque near Ground Zero (she's against it) and ended up mostly drawing hilarity for asking "peaceful Muslims" to "pls refudiate" mosque construction.
No such word! The NY Post blames those pesky bloggers:
Palin deleted the post, but not before it was picked up by bloggers, who were quick to mock the one-time vice presidential candidate.
In response to the critics, Palin posted another tweet that referenced former President Bush, whose inventive use of the English language was often ridiculed.
She also suggested she was channeling playwright William Shakespeare with her writing.
"'Refudiate,' 'misunderestimate,' 'wee-wee'd up.' English is a living language. Shakespeare liked to coin new words too. Got to celebrate it!" she posted Sunday night.
