It’s not a surprise that CNN talkers dominate an annual list of the most biased in the nation, but the 2021 collection released by the Media Research Center on Wednesday said that two CNN quotes tied for its “Chris Cuomo Memorial Award For Worst Quote of The Year.”

In picking one from Don Lemon and another from CNN Political Director David Chalian, MRC President L. Brent Bozell showed the anti-Trump and pro-Biden bias of the left-leaning cable network.

From Lemon: “If you voted for Trump, you voted for the person who the Klan supported. You voted for the person who Nazis support. You voted for the person who the alt-right supports. That’s the crowd that you are in.”

From Chalian: “Those lights that are just shooting out from the Lincoln Memorial along the reflecting pool. ... It’s like almost extensions of Joe Biden’s arms embracing America. It was a moment where the new president came to town and sort of convened the country in this moment of remembrance, outstretching his arms.”

In its analysis of the annual list, MRC said, “This year, we had a tie. The two quotes reflect the stark double-standard seen in the coverage between President Joe Biden and Donald Trump. During his first three months in office, the broadcast evening newscasts showered President Joe Biden with 59% positive press. Four years ago, those same programs were hammering Trump with 89% negative press.”

Bozell added, “This explains why CNN is now unwelcome even in airports. CNN is to news what Cuomo was to integrity.” Cuomo was recently fired for attempting to help his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, wiggle out of a sex scandal.

Several of the quotes on the list were also featured in the weekly Secrets feature Liberal Media Scream, compiled with the help of Brent Baker, the vice president of research and publications for the Media Research Center.
