While speaking before the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers convention in Chicago last week, President Joe Biden went off the rails about shortages from when Donald Trump was in office. Biden claimed that Trump's supporters had forgotten about those times.
In reality, it's impossible to forget about them, considering that the shortages still exist. Indeed, things have significantly worsened under Biden's watch. The country is now plagued with an additional baby formula shortage.
"Remember those long lines you'd see on the television? People lining up in all kinds of vehicles just to get a box of food in their trunk. How quickly we forget!" Biden yelled. "People were hurting, and what did the MAGA crowd want to do? Forget it. God, this is the United States of America. The idea that people would have to wait in line an hour, an hour and a half, to get a box of food in their trunk is just unbelievable."
One can only imagine what Biden must feel now given that the entire country has to wait not hours but days to find formula for their newborn infants.
Biden's "rage" is either unhinged, senile madness, or the latest production in Democratic political theater. And after the revelation that Democratic political operatives spent six months coming up with "utra-MAGA," I believe it was the latter. These people don't even say "excuse me" after belching without expensive, painstaking preparation.
Biden claimed he had a solution for shortages, but he didn't. Like many of the things Biden promised to make better, the shortages got worse after he was elected.
Just like the White House stage that Biden uses for many of his speeches, Biden's anger is not authentic. The MAGA crowd did not forget about the shortages, because they never went away, but under Biden, there are now more items in short supply. After all, there weren't any baby formula shortages when Trump was president.
