I take this ad, which is now running in Wisconsin's 1st District, as a sign that Republicans are still quite worried about the seat of retiring House Speaker Paul Ryan. It's paid for by the Congressional Leadership Fund, a Super PAC that is associated with Ryan himself.

This may be true. It is also the sort of attack you launch when you're worried about losing. It comes after an earlier ad in which Bryce's brother, a policeman, came out against Bryce.

Bryce, with his flamboyant style and distinctive mustache, raised a very large sum from online progressives when it appeared he would be running against Ryan. When Ryan announced his retirement, Bryce had the resources to defeat a more conventional Democratic challenger for the seat in southeast Wisconsin.
