NEW YORK (AP) — Oil prices rose Wednesday after the government reported an unexpectedly large drop in U.S. crude oil inventories.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange:

Benchmark crude rose 90 cents to end at $94.33 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline rose 8.26 cents to finish at $3.084 per gallon.

Heating oil rose 5.06 cents to end at $3.0852 per gallon.

Natural gas fell 8.6 cents to finish at $2.7480 per 1,000 cubic feet.

On the ICE Futures exchange in London:

Brent crude rose $2.22 to end at $116.25 a barrel.
