NEW YORK (AP) — The price of oil jumped nearly 5 percent, the highest in more than a month, after the government reported a sharp rise in jobs growth for July.

Here's a breakdown of how energy prices traded Friday:

On the New York Mercantile Exchange:

Crude: rose $4.27 to end the day at $91.40 per barrel;

Gasoline: added 6.1 cents to finish at $2.931 per gallon;

Heating oil: added 8.4 cents to finish at $2.926 per gallon;

Natural gas: dropped 4.3 cents to finish at $2.877 per 1,000 cubic feet.

On the ICE futures exchange:

Brent crude: rose $3.04 to finish the day at $108.94 per barrel.
