The price of benchmark oil was up and down Thursday, jumping above $98 a barrel before worries about Europe pushed it back down again.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Benchmark crude fell 99 cents to finish at $96.27 per barrel.
Gasoline rose 1.16 cents to end at $3.1158 a gallon.
Heating oil rose 0.43 cent to finish at $3.1330 a gallon.
Natural gas fell 2.4 cents to end at $2.820 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE Futures exchange in London:
Brent crude rose 10 cents to finish the day at $115.01 per barrel.
