Democratic presidential candidate Lincoln Chafee, in the nicest way possible, on Tuesday slapped Hillary Clinton's "lapses of judgment" on her email and Clinton Foundation fundraising issues, demanding that they be topics in the campaign.

"We'll talk, I'm sure, about lapses of judgment having to to with electronic devices, possibly mixing the classified information on the personal device, also the Clinton Foundation decisions in State while contributions were being made," he said.

"These are all subjects we should be talking about in the campaign, and who's best to represent the Democratic Party when all the dust settles. That's the way it should be," added the soft-spoken Chafee, the first-ever ex-mayor-senator-governor to run for president.

During a media breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor Chafee noted Clinton's "record of accomplishments and high intellectual contributions to public service," but repeatedly questioned her judgment on voting to go to war in Iraq, the issue that drove him to run for president. He repeatedly cited his "courage" in voting against war.

His hit on Clinton was just the latest indication that some in the Democratic Party feel her invincibility is evaporating, opening the door for a potential defeat.

Chafee even led a cheer for Vice President Joe Biden getting into the race. He praised Biden's "great knowledge," and record as President Obama's right hand man. Asked if he expects Biden to get in, Chafee said, "I think he is."

He said that Clinton is ahead because she had a "head start," but suggested that there is time to catch up to the front-runner.

On issues, he staked out some controversial positions, supporting an Internet tax and not only praising Obama's Iran nuclear deal, but he called it a "model" for future international agreements.
