TAMPA, Fla. - Pop culture enthusiast and anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist seemed to be having a good time Monday night at the Distilled Spirits Council party at the Florida Aquarium, but told Yeas & Nays he had already encountered disappointment at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.

"I was devastated when the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert was canceled," he said, adding that he hoped that it would be rescheduled.

Norquist said he was "not that up to speed with Journey," another musical act slated to play in Tampa. Norquist and his wife, Samah Alrayyes Norquist, did run into actress Janine Turner, but had not yet bumped into actor Jon Voight, who's been making the rounds.

"I like the movies where the snakes eat him," Norquist said. That would be the 1997 film "Anaconda."
