Sure, he created an Obama Burger for his Good Stuff Eatery, but chef Spike Mendelsohn is not giving the president the same courtesy when he opens We, The Pizza this week. At least not yet.

"I have to see President Obama come actually into the restaurant," Mendelsohn told Yeas & Nays.

That said, Mendelsohn already has a few ideas in his head about what an Obama-themed pizza might look like.

"A country-style cast iron pizza with maybe caramelized onions and potatoes," Mendelsohn said. "Something really comforting, nurturing and delicious, so we'll see what happens."

We, The Pizza, located next door to Good Stuff, is going to sell two square-shaped cast iron pizzas (a Sicilian and a Greek) and also an array of thin-crust New York-style pies, along with some homemade gelato.

The start date has been delayed several times, but Mendelsohn said he expects the restaurant to have its soft opening Thursday.
