In response to footage of President Joe Biden claiming that Trump supporters are "the most extreme political organization that’s existed in American history — in recent American history," the Washington Examiner's Sarah Westwood told Fox Business's Maria Bartiromo that this isn't a new strategy, nor is it a successful one.

"These are tactics that Democrats recently tried," said Westwood, alluding to Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who both attempted to smear the Trump-supporting population during their campaigns.


According to Westwood, this is an "unsuccessful model."

She further told the host that Democrats could be "overplaying their hand" on abortion, as people at large do not buy into the abortion-on-demand position that the party has shifted toward.

In terms of teaching gender identity and sexual orientation to young children, she says the party has "lost touch with how extreme of a position that is," referencing polling that shows the public supports the sentiment of the recently passed Parental Rights in Education Act in Florida.
