Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) struck back at President Joe Biden, saying the White House cannot fix the economy.

On Tuesday, Scott said Biden should resign over rising inflation. When a reporter asked the president about the comment, Biden said the senator “has a problem.”

“He was supposed to give his ideas on inflation yesterday,” Scott told Fox & Friends on Wednesday. “What were his ideas? Oh, it’s everybody else’s fault but his. So, we know he can’t do it. Let’s be honest. We know that Joe Biden cannot fix this economy, all right? Get out of the way. Let somebody else do it. That’s what you would do in a business life.”

Scott blasted Biden for being confused, noting that the president wrongly called him a senator from Wisconsin.

The senator also slammed Biden’s handling of record inflation, rising gas prices, a suffering supply chain, and low labor participation. Scott called for fewer government handouts and more employment.

“Get people back to work,” Scott said. “Guess what? When you work, you pay payroll taxes, you buy things, you pay sales tax, maybe you buy a house, you pay property taxes. That’s how this country was built — it was built on workers, not people saying, ‘What new government program can I get onto where I don’t have to pay any taxes?’ That’s not how this country was built. Let’s get back to work.”

When asked about the Supreme Court leaked document suggesting Roe v. Wade will be overturned and the ensuing protests, Scott called for peaceful and safe protests while refusing to condemn pro-abortion rights activists going to the homes of Supreme Court justices.

“Look, if you are going to protest, you have a right to protest in this country,” Scott said. “You have got to do it peacefully. You can’t be violent. You can’t try to intimidate people. You have got to, you know, just express your views. That’s how protests ought to be. It shouldn’t be violent.”
