Teenage pop sensation and Disney star Olivia Rodrigo has been hailed as the next Taylor Swift — and she's similarly making an entrance into politics.

"I hope we can raise our voices to protect our right to have a safe abortion, which is a right that so many people before us have worked so hard to get," she told her primarily young fans.


The 19-year-old singer echoed Democratic talking points, adding, "Our bodies should never be in the hands of politicians."


The crowd cheered as the "Drivers License" singer spoke on the right to abort a child.

This week, fellow musician Phoebe Bridgers, who caters to a similarly young and female audience, admitted to her Instagram followers that she had an "easy" abortion while on tour.

"I had an abortion in October of last year while I was on tour," she said. "I went to Planned Parenthood where they gave me the abortion pill. It was easy. Everyone deserves that kind of access."

Bridgers also shared her story on Twitter, urging followers to donate to abortion funds.

"Here’s a big list of places you can donate to right now," she told her followers.

This comes after a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion revealed that both Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey may be overturned in a decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. The unprecedented leak has prompted protests across the country.
