Former President Barack Obama is hosting a campaign rally Monday evening in Las Vegas to support Nevada Democrats ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.
Taking place at an arena at the University of Nevada, Obama is campaigning for Jacky Rosen, candidate for U.S. Senate, and other Nevada Democrats.
The Las Vegas rally is taking place hours before President Trump will get on stage in Houston to stump for Sen. Ted Cruz, who is up for re-election and facing a surprisingly competitive Democratic challenger in Rep. Beto O'Rourke.
The midterm elections are about two weeks away, set for Nov. 6, and have the potential to drastically change the direction of the country. Democrats have a chance to take power in both the House and the Senate.
According to the results of a NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Sunday, the Democrats hold a 9-point lead over Republicans in the the latest polling.
Trump said last week that it won't be his fault if the Republicans lose control of the House.
