Tempers flared on the bench of The Washington Football team during Sunday's blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys, resulting in one player throwing a punch at a teammate.
Washington defensive tackle Jonathan Allen appeared to argue with fellow defensive lineman Daron Payne on the sideline, and whatever the problem was, it could not be settled by words alone.
Growing visibly frustrated, Payne stood up and poked Allen in the head, according to footage of the incident posted to social media.

Allen responded with a right hand that just missed, and teammates quickly separated the two players.

The incident occurred in the second quarter after Washington gave up another touchdown in a game they eventually lost 56-14.
Marquis Flowers, a former NFL player and teammate of Allen and Payne, commented on the incident in a tweet.
