Music fans of the 1980s will remember Mark Wahlberg as “Marky Mark,” who had run-ins with crime, causing his band to distance itself from him.

Now, he has become an actor unafraid to break the Hollywood mold and speak out about his faith.

Wahlberg recenly posted a video of himself on Instagram encouraging fans to “stay prayed up.”

"I’ve been getting a lot of messages from people who have been praying every day and finding peace,” Wahlberg said.

The actor mentioned that he has been using the Hallow app to guide his prayer time, saying fans are “especially sending wonderful messages about doing the rosary with me."

Wahlberg is currently filming on the set of the Netflix movie Our Man From Jersey in London, according to the Daily Mail. He is reportedly starring opposite Halle Berry while also producing the film.
