Actor Mark Wahlberg congratulated his teenage son's Catholic confirmation and praised all young people for "taking their relationship with the Lord into their adulthood."
Wahlberg credited his wife Rhea Durham while celebrating the religious milestone moment in an Instagram photo of Durham and their 16-year-old son, Michael.
"So proud of this young man ❤️🙏 congrats buddy!! Even though mommy deserves most of the credit 😂 thanks babe 🙏❤️🙏," Wahlberg wrote.
The actor also posted a video in which he said, "Just got down on my hands and knees to express my gratitude."
"Congratulations to my son Michael on making his confirmation," Wahlberg continued. "All the young people out there who were confirmed and taking their relationship with the Lord into their adulthood, what a commitment you guys have made."
He added that he had just finished using the Hallow app to guide his prayer time, calling the prayer "beautiful."

Wahlberg shared his congratulations from Europe, where he is reportedly filming the Netflix movie Our Man From Jersey.
In April, Wahlberg shared a video encouraging fans to "stay prayed up."
"I've been getting a lot of messages from people who have been praying every day and finding peace," Wahlberg said.
The actor has also discussed his hopes for imparting his faith to his four children.
"They think Dad's crazy, and he's boring," he jokingly told the "Today" show in April. "But even with my faith, I don't force it on them. But they know that Dad can't start the day without being in prayer, can't start the day without reading my scripture or going to mass."
"Hopefully, instead of forcing that on them, they'll say, 'Well, if it works for Dad, maybe it'll work for us,'" Wahlberg added. "And they'll kind of gravitate towards it on their own."
