It has been eight years since actress Eva Mendes appeared on the big screen, but in her return to acting, she has new rules for the types of roles she will consider.

“I have such a short list of what I will do,” Mendes said while appearing on The View on Tuesday. “I don’t want to do violence. I don’t want to do sexuality. I don’t want to do, you know, the list is short.”

Mendes, 48, said her approach to acting has changed since becoming a mother.

“It has to be nice and clean,” she added.

“Stuff like Disney does,” View co-host Whoopi Goldberg suggested.

“Disney! Perfect,” Mendes replied.

The actress also shared that she took time away from social media to help her regain perspective on life.

“I took a break from social media because I started feeling really phony in it,” Mendes said. “I started feeling, like, you hear, ‘You need to put out content, content.’ And it’s like, OK, content, but OK, what is that? I started seeing my day, like, is this a social media post? I was like, I don’t want to live like that."
