Chevrolet premiered its 2021 Christmas TV spot Monday, and many are hailing it as an All-American tear-jerking ad.
The advertisement is titled "Holiday Ride" and has garnered over 492,283 views, according to Chevrolet's YouTube page.
It tells the story of a man with his dog in rural America replacing an old weathered Christmas wreath with a new one on his barn door.

With a sigh, he opens the doors, places the old wreath down, and he and his dog enter a vintage Chevy.
Discovering a faded image of a woman, the man begins to recount the life he had with her and breaks down into tears.
Leaving the barn with his dog, his daughter approaches.
She develops a plan to restore her mother's car, the one in the barn, and gift it to her father.
With melancholic music in the background, he drives off with his daughter.
The commercial is based on a true story, according to a report.
It is the brainchild of Commonwealth/McCann, a creative agency, and it was brought to life by three Academy Award winners.
"So many customers have a Chevy story, and we're proud that our vehicles have helped create memorable moments that span and connect generations," Steve Majoros, a marketing director at Chevrolet, said.
