NBA icon Charles Barkley got heated Thursday after Golden State Warriors fans began pelting the Hall of Famer with T-shirts following the Warriors' win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

Warriors fans had been upset with Barkley, 59, since the start of the series when he picked the Mavericks to win.

After T-shirts and trash started landing on him, Barkley got up and faced the angry crowd.

Inside the NBA co-hosts Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith did their best to get Barkley back into his seat, while co-host Shaquille O'Neal appeared to be laughing.

After a few moments of the exchange, Johnson told viewers, "We will be back."

Earlier in the broadcast, fans could be seen accosting Barkley, and one person carried a sign that read, "Chuck you suck!", outside the Chase Center in San Francisco.
