Footage released Tuesday showed a car being dragged beneath a semitrailer on a highway outside Chicago.
The car's driver could be seen waving his or her hand out the driver's side window as the vehicle was dragged sideways, with the driver's head inches from the moving truck, according to dashcam footage taken by Grzegorz Buczynski, a resident in the area.
The crash occurred at about 11:41 a.m., according to the Illinois State Police.

Half of the vehicle was trapped beneath the semitrailer close to the Roosevelt Road exit in Elmhurst, Illinois, according to the footage.

No injuries were reported, and the incident resulted in two lane closures on Interstate 294, police said.
