Recently elected to Virginia’s House of Delegates, Republican Tim Anderson is warning against the tactics of liberal politicians and members of the media.

Anderson, an attorney in Virginia Beach, argued in a recent Facebook post that the media and Democratic politicians are falsely telling parents they will lose child tax credit money if President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better bill doesn’t pass.

BIDEN AND DEMOCRATS GRAPPLE WITH BIG SPENDING BILL SLIPPING INTO 2022

In his Facebook post, Anderson explained that the child tax credit won’t go away.

“Child tax credits were $2000 for children under 17. Last year, they temporarily went up to $3600 — and the government paid 1/2 of the credit in 2021 and the other half will be paid in a lump sum in 2022,” he wrote. “If the Senate does not pass the Build Back Broke bill — the credit will revert back to $2000 (it does not go away) and will be applied as credits during tax filings — as they always have.”

Anderson was elected to represent Virginia’s 83rd District, flipping the seat back to the GOP. His win helped Republicans take control of the commonwealth’s House of Delegates, which will be finalized when the General Assembly convenes on Jan. 12.
