A billboard advertising the new "Halloween" movie was repurposed by conservative street artist Sabo, who replaced the head of murderer Michael Myers with an image of California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters’ face.
The head of Waters on Myers’ body is wielding a knife, and the words “#Uncivil Democrats” were added to the West Hollywood billboard.
Sabo confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter the he was the one who is behind the street art, and said that it was in response to Waters’ comments calling for people to make Republicans and members of the Trump administration feel unwelcome in public spaces.
"If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd," Waters said at a rally in Los Angeles in June. "You push back on them, and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere."
Several Republicans and Trump cabinet members have been confronted publicly since then, including Sen. Ted Cruz, Texas, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, senior adviser to the president Stephen Miller, and Homeland Security secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, among others.
"Halloween" came out in theaters Friday.
