President Trump accused Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., of being “out of control” and claimed she held power over House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

“Before Nancy, who has lost all control of Congress and is getting nothing done, decides to defend her leader, Rep. Omar, she should look at the anti-Semitic, anti-Israel and ungrateful U.S. HATE statements Omar has made. She is out of control, except for her control of Nancy!” Trump wrote.

His tweet was prompted by the top Democrat urging him to remove a video from his Twitter feed that attacked the freshman representative for comments she made about the 9/11 terror attacks in March at a Council on American-Islamic Relations event.

Omar said CAIR was “founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”

Trump shared the video Friday that juxtaposed Omar’s comments about with images of the twin towers and Pentagon burning during the terror attacks.

Some Democrats said Trump’s action could incite violence against Omar, and Pelosi said Sunday she has asked Capitol Police to increase security for Omar after Trump’s tweet.
