President Trump on Monday blamed the inaccurate reporting and hostility of the fake and even "fraudulent" news media for creating the recent anger and outrage in America that is leading to violence.

“There is great anger in our Country caused in part by inaccurate, and even fraudulent, reporting of the news,” Trump tweeted Monday morning. “The Fake News Media, the true Enemy of the People, must stop the open & obvious hostility & report the news accurately & fairly. That will do much to put out the flame of Anger and Outrage and we will then be able to bring all sides together in Peace and Harmony. Fake News Must End!"

Last week, several suspicious packages containing pipe bombs were sent to prominent Democratic leaders and politicians, and over the weekend a man shot up a synagogue, killing 11, during Shabbat services.

Many have been quick to blame Trump’s rhetoric towards Democrats, the media, and illegal immigrants, specifically the migrant caravan, for the recent rise in division and hostility.

However, Trump has turned the blame back on the media, and says their especially negative and “fraudulent” coverage has created the politically charged violence.
