Lawmakers in the House spent a lot of time on Twitter in 2021, with one even censured over a controversial video he posted on the social media platform.
Senators bickered on Twitter too, but some posted funny or just plain weird tweets.

Here are the best, or arguably worst, tweets from senators in 2021:
Virginia Democrat Sen. Tim Kaine provided some free advertising for Barbasol.
Just realized—nearly 2 years late—that my shaving cream is celebrating 100 years. Thanks Barbasol for making my daily face scraping marginally less painful! Now with Soothing Aloe and a Rust Proof Aluminum Bottom. pic.twitter.com/BZZkVe4VXS

Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney and Arizona Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema tweeted photos of themselves having some bipartisan fun on Halloween, dressed as characters from the show Ted Lasso.

Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley continued to wage his war of words against the History Channel.
Just spent 45 mins finding out why I don’t hv history channel Negotiations btwn 4 channels incl history & Direct tv Results: if I want history channel my bill go fr $65 to $99 I’m not paying $34 for history ch when not much history /or should I change from Direct to DISH??
— ChuckGrassley (@ChuckGrassley) December 11, 2021
My reward for blasting the History channel for not having any history is that I hv to subscribe anew. So direct tv took it out of my package. That’s how big corporations fight back .
