White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller’s third-grade teacher has been placed on “home assignment” after sharing that Miller ate glue and reminded her of one of the Peanuts characters when he was her student.
Nikki Fiske, who taught Miller at Franklin Elementary School in Santa Monica, has been suspended from her job as the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District determines what actions, if any, it plans to take for her comments, the Los Angeles Times reported.
According to district spokesperson Gail Pinsker, the district is worried about her "release of student information, including allegations that the release may not have complied with applicable laws and district policies.”
“This has been picked up by other digital publications and blogs, and some issues have been raised,” Pinsker said.

Fiske’s comments were published on Wednesday by the Hollywood Reporter, where she characterized Miller as a “loner” who was “isolated and off by himself all the time.”
“Do you remember that character in Peanuts, the one called Pig Pen, with the dust cloud and crumbs flying all around him? That was Stephen Miller at 8,” Fiske said. “I was always trying to get him to clean up his desk — he always had stuff mashed up in there.”
“He would pour the glue on his arm, let it dry, peel it off and then eat it,” she said. “He was a strange dude.”
Fiske is a registered Democrat and backs causes such as gun control, per her Facebook account. She did not respond to a request for comment from the Los Angeles Times.
