The "suspicious package" delivered to CNN's New York headquarters Wednesday was specifically addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan, according to the network.

Brennan is an MSNBC/NBC News contributor and frequent critic of President Trump.

Several floors of the Time Warner building, where CNN's offices are, were evacuated when the potentially explosive package was found.

Authorities removed the package for detonation after the evacuation.

The Secret Service intercepted similar packages sent to former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in New York and former president Barack Obama in Washington, D.C.
