Porn star Stormy Daniels expressed regret for comparing President Trump's penis to the mushroom-like character from Nintendo's Mario video game series in her tell-all book.
"I actually feel pretty terrible about it because in a way it's body shaming," Daniels said during a new interview with the Australian iteration of "60 Minutes." "I did not want to hurt him. My intention was for people to stop hurting me."
Daniels likened Trump to Toad from the Mario video game franchise in her memoir, Full Disclosure, which was published in earlier this month. In the memoir, she recounts her alleged 2006 sexual encounter with the then-reality TV star and real estate mogul following a golf tournament in California.
The adult entertainer, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, told Nine News Australia's "60 Minutes" program she felt "forced" to write about their interaction in detail to add credence to her story.
"Let's just hope that it’s never called as an exhibit in court," Daniels said. "But if it was, I win."
Daniels sued Trump in March to be released from a $130,000 nondisclosure agreement she signed days before the 2016 presidential election in exchange for her silence regarding their extramarital affair. The deal was brokered by Trump's former longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen.
Charles Harder, Trump's attorney, filed court documents in California in September stating his client would no longer enforce the arrangement, effectively negating Daniels' lawsuit.
