Johnny Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez, 37, has garnered quite the online following amid her cross-examination of the Pirates of the Caribbean actor’s ex-wife Amber Heard.

Heard appeared again on the witness stand inside a Fairfax, Virginia, courtroom this week. Depp is suing her for $50 million over a 2018 op-ed that he claims defamed him when she inferred that he domestically abused her. He has said the false accusations of abuse have cost him “nothing less than everything.”

During cross-examination this week, numerous tense moments, including snapping remarks from both women and objections from Heard’s legal team, were noticed by viewers and commented on publicly.

“Do you see the admiration this blonde woman ha[s] for Camille Vasquez? This was my face the WHOLE cross examination,” one tweet read. “I want to be Camille or Dr. Curry when I grow up.”

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Camille Vasquez! She's BRILLIANT! Johnny has the best team! And he deserves it!" another person wrote on Twitter.

"Incredible to see #CamilleVazquez absolutely killing it on cross, I am sure that she is inspiring so many young people, especially young women, to be an amazing lawyer like she is. Hell, I want to be a lawyer now after watching her," a Twitter user said.

Another Twitter user noticed Depp’s appreciation for Vasquez.

"This hug is so powerful. He's so grateful to have a strong wom[a]n rooting and defending him," Xs Mamma wrote.

Vasquez’s work in the courtroom appears to be benefiting Johnny Depp, at least in the public’s eye.

In an effort to restore Depp as “Jack Sparrow” in the Pirates franchise, two petitions have gained renewed traction.
