Fox News host Sean Hannity will give a star power boost to Sen. Ted Cruz's, R-Texas, re-election campaign this weekend.

According to an Eventbrite page accessible through Cruz's campaign website, Hannity will be a "special guest" for Saturday rallies in Houston and Beaumont.

Cruz is facing a rising Democratic star in Rep. Beto O'Rourke, who has taken in a record-breaking fundraising haul of millions of dollars.

Hannity will be a welcome conservative face for Cruz, even though the two haven't always been on the friendlist of terms. During the 2016 campaign, Hannity castigated Cruz at times during that election cycle.

Trump will also stump for Cruz. Earlier this week it was announced Trump will campaign for Cruz in Houston on Oct. 22.

After Cruz and O'Rourke had a debate Tuesday evening, Trump called the El Paso Democrat a "flake" who wants higher taxes and more federal regulations.

Trump also heaped praise on Cruz, his former GOP presidential primary rival.

“Ted Cruz has done so much for Texas, including massive cuts in taxes and regulations — which has brought Texas to the best jobs numbers in the history of the state,” Trump said in a tweet Wednesday. “He watches carefully over your 2nd Amendment. O’Rourke would blow it all! Ted has long had my Strong Endorsement!”

A RealClearPolitics average of polls for the first half of October shows Cruz up 7 percentage points, 50.8 percent to O'Rourke's 43.8 percent.
