Photos shared by CNN and ABC News on Wednesday showed the explosive device and package sent to CNN headquarters in New York.

The manila package was addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan and had Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s return address. Police don't believe the packages originated from the Florida Democrat.

The package contained six stamps and the addresses were typed, not handwritten. It contained several misspellings, including “Florids,” “Shultz” and “Brenan.”

In the photos, the package had been opened and the black explosive device was sitting next to it on a desk.

CNN’s New York headquarters were evacuated early Wednesday upon discovery of the device, which was later taken to a New York Police Department Facility in the Bronx.

Separate devices were sent to the homes of Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama, but neither device made it inside, and were instead diverted by authorities. None of the devices detonated.
