An original Stormtrooper helmet used in the 1977 movie Star Wars: A New Hope, along with many of Hollywood's most famous big-screen treasures, will hit the auction floor this July.
For three days, Turner Classic Movies and Julien's Auctions will join forces to put together an auction full of Hollywood's greatest film props, according to a news release from Julien's.
The auction event, titled "Hollywood Legends," will take place from July 15-17 in Beverly Hills.

The event "will showcase some of the most iconic and fascinating objects ever used by Hollywood’s biggest stars and legends in the greatest films of all time," the release read.
The auction items are described as the "iconic pieces from the Golden Age of Hollywood to the 20th and 21st century’s modern and contemporary film classics."
They include an original Stormtrooper helmet from Star Wars: A New Hope, Marilyn Monroe's and Jane Russell's costumes from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Audrey Hepburn's two-piece Givenchy ensemble from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Chris Evans's original prop shield from Captain America: The First Avenger, and Chris Hemsworth's original “Mjolnir” hammer prop from Thor: The Dark World.
"Today marks an exciting milestone for Julien's Auctions as our new collaboration with TCM will bring our world-class collection of important Hollywood artifacts and our premium auctions to new heights and build on our reputation as the leading auction house to the stars," said Martin Nolan, executive director of Julien's Auctions.
