Lawyer and potential 2020 presidential candidate Michael Avenatti said Thursday morning that Donald Trump Jr. will be indicted by the end of the year.

“Donald Trump Jr. will be indicted before his birthday on 12-31-18,” Avenatti tweeted. “If you doubt my prediction, please check my record over the last 7 months.”

It is unclear what charges or incident Avenatti has in mind, but he does routinely slammed President Trump’s campaign.

Trump Jr. has become a subject of interest to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation due to a June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower in New York between members of Trump campaign and a Russian lawyer. It was predicated on a promise of damaging information on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, to which Trump Jr. said in an email, "I love it."

When the meeting came to light, Trump Jr. claims said no such dirt was given.

In September 2017, Trump Jr. brushed off any concern about being implicated, telling the Senate Judiciary Committee, "I did not collude with any foreign government and did not know anyone who did."

Avenatti, who is the lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels in her legal battle with President Trump, tweeted at Trump Jr. on Tuesday, taunting him saying “after you are indicted, you will likely be passing [people in federal prison] on your way in. BTW, they don’t have silver spoons or gold toilets in the joint. Buckle up Buttercup.”
