A man arrested for groping a woman on a flight to New Mexico cited President Trump as saying it's "ok to grab women by their private parts."
Bruce Michael Alexander, a 49-year-old man from Florida, has been charged with making abusive sexual contact with a woman on a Southwest flight that took off from Houston on Sunday.
In a criminal complaint, the woman alleges Alexander repeatedly reached around her and grabbed her right breast.
She confronted the man, and then asked a flight attendant to change seats. After the flight landed in Albuquerque, NBC News reports the man was detained.
The complaint says the man didn't admit to groping, but after he was placed in handcuffs, he remarked, "that the President of the United States says it's OK to grab women by their private parts."
That appeared to be a reference to the infamous 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape that emerged during the 2016 campaign, in which Trump can be heard bragging about how celebrities like himself can "grab" women "by the pussy."
NBC News reports Alexander has a Tuesday court date and could face up to two years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
