Love was in the air when a couple said "I do" aboard a Southwest Airlines flight out of Dallas Love Field.
An Oklahoma City couple, Jeremy Salda and Pam Patterson, tied the knot at 37,000 feet last Sunday while flying over Arizona after what started as a joke during boarding turned serious when the pilot, Capt. Gil, gave the green light, according to a report by the Arizona Republic.
The couple's wedding fell into place after a series of flight changes. What started as a trip to Las Vegas to elope changed due to flight delays and cancellations because of the weather. The couple ended up at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in full wedding attire with a canceled flight when they met Chris, an ordained minister, who offered to marry them.

The three bought the last seats on a flight taking off across town connecting in Phoenix. Once onboard, and with the pilot's permission, the wedding preparations came together.
The wedding was complete with all the bells and whistles as the flight's crew sprang into action with toilet paper streamers and a "snack mix sash."
Passengers chipped in, one offering up a spiral notebook as a makeshift guest book, which all 60 or so passengers signed with their seat number and a message for the happy couple. One passenger, a professional photographer, took photos.
