"That report — if that's an investigation, it's a bullshit investigation. The reality is that is not a full and thorough investigation," Menendez said earlier in the day.
"Let me tell it to my friend, Bob: What y'all have done is bullshit," Graham said. "If they ever write a book about overplaying your hands in politics, this is it. It's in the first chapter."
Graham, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, predicted the controversy surrounding Kavanaugh and its timing weeks before the midterm elections will help the Republican Party because it is uniting President Trump's supporters. Polls released this week showed upwards of 80 percent of Republicans support Kavanaugh's confirmation.
Three women have accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct and assault when they were in high school and college more than 30 years ago. Kavanaugh attended Georgetown Preparatory School in Maryland and Yale University in Connecticut.
Kavanaugh has denied the accusations and publicly testified before the Senate committee twice.
Last week, the FBI launched a one-week probe to look into the allegations against him. On Thursday, the agency released its report to senators. Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., who had called for the probe, said the report did not include any new information that corroborated the women's accusations against Kavanaugh.
