A federal jury on Thursday found former reality TV star Josh Duggar guilty of possessing and downloading child pornography after seven hours of deliberation in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The federal jury found Duggar, 33, guilty on one count of possessing child pornography and one count of receiving child pornography, some of which included children under the age of 12. He faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 for each charge.

"This case was a milestone in our efforts to combat child pornography and child abuse in our district," David Clay Fowlkes, the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, told reporters after the verdict. "It was a major milestone because it showed that no one is above the law. No matter their status, no matter their wealth, and no matter their fame."

JOSH DUGGAR, STAR OF 19 KIDS AND COUNTING, PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES

Duggar was arrested and charged in April after police found child pornography on a computer at the car dealership Duggar owned. The defense argued someone else had put the pornography on the office computer, arguing nothing was found on his personal laptop or phone.

He will be sentenced in approximately four months by U.S. District Judge Timothy Brooks, according to local TV station KNWA. Defense attorney Justin Gelfand said they plan to appeal the verdict.

The pornography charges were not the first issue for Duggar, who told his family and a friend that he fondled four of his sisters and a babysitter. According to the family friend who testified in court, Duggar confided in her about the molestation, the Associated Press reported. Duggar's mother also admitted her son apologized for fondling the girls. However, the statute of limitations for the molestation charges already passed, as the confession to his friend occurred in 2003.

Duggar was one of 19 children in the television show 19 Kids and Counting on The Learning Channel, which focused on Duggar and his conservative Christian family. The show was canceled in 2015 following reports of the molestation. Duggar publicly apologized for his pornography addiction and cheating on his wife, calling himself "the biggest hypocrite ever."
