Police in Illinois are searching for two suspects believed to be behind a shooting at a hotel that left one dead and one wounded.
Officers from the Bradley Police Department are looking for Darius Sullivan and an unidentified person of interest who they believe was involved in the fatal shooting of one officer and the wounding of a second on Wednesday, the police department said Thursday. The wounded officer is in critical condition and is undergoing surgery, authorities said.
The officers were responding to reports of dogs barking in an unattended vehicle, the police department said. Upon arriving at the scene, they located an unattended vehicle and discovered a hotel room where they believed the owner of the vehicle was staying, the report continued. After the officers began a conversation with the subjects in the hotel room, they were attacked, police said.

Both officers were transported to nearby hospitals for their injuries where one died and the other remains in critical condition, according to the Facebook post.

A $10,000 reward has been issued for any information that leads to the arrest of the alleged suspect in the shooting, according to the post.
The Washington Examiner reached out to the Illinois State Police for comment but did not receive a response.
