Country music is mourning the death of Grammy-winning singer Naomi Judd.

Judd died at the age of 76 Saturday, just one day before she and her daughter Wynonna were to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Music artists are taking to social media to express their sadness over the loss.

“I am absolutely heartsick to hear the news about Naomi Judd,” Dove Award-winning artist Ty Herndon tweeted. “She is irreplaceable — a country music legend will never be forgotten.”

Country music TV host Cody Alan shared a photo he recently took with Naomi, saying she made the Judd duo “iconic in every sense of the word.”

Ashley Judd, Naomi's daughter, shared the news of her mother’s passing on Twitter, saying the cause of death was related to Judd's deteriorating mental health.

"Today we sisters experienced a tragedy," Judd wrote. "We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness. We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory."

Naomi and Wynonna’s final televised performance was at the CMT Music Awards earlier this month.
