HarperCollins is dropping a book by Chris Cuomo following the controversy that led to his ouster at CNN.

CHRIS CUOMO LOOKING TO SUE CNN FOR REMAINDER OF CONTRACT MONEY: REPORT

I can confirm that Custom House no longer intends to publish the Chris Cuomo book,” a spokesperson for HarperCollins told the Washington Examiner.

The spokesperson did not clarify whether the cancellation originated from HarperCollins or Cuomo.

The break comes amid reports Cuomo is gearing up for a legal battle with CNN. He signed a four-year contract with CNN with an estimated salary of $6 million a year, meaning he likely had between $18 and $20 million left on the contract.

Cuomo announced Monday he was stepping down from his SiriusXM radio show to focus on his family after his exit from CNN.

He was fired from CNN Saturday. The company said it terminated him after more information about him was discovered by an outside law firm hired by CNN. The news outlet did not publicly elaborate on what specific information was found.

The network initially suspended Cuomo "indefinitely" on Nov. 30 after the New York Attorney General's Office released documents showing his involvement in his brother's scandal. The documents indicated he helped his brother find out information about his accusers through his media sources.

CNN fired Cuomo after it was contacted by a lawyer about a sexual misconduct allegation against him, CNN's chief media correspondent Brian Stelter reported.
