The Green Bay Packers will activate Aaron Rodgers, who has completed a mandatory 10-day quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, the team announced Saturday afternoon.

While Rodgers has been removed from the COVID-19 reservation list, he will maintain a "no game-status" designation on the roster due to a toe injury, meaning he may not necessarily play against Seattle on Sunday, according to the Packers. Green Bay cornerback Isaac Yiadom has also been activated off of the COVID-19 list.

"Per agreed-upon NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on a player's medical status other than referring to roster status," the team's Saturday statement read.

Neither Rodgers nor Yiadom played in last week's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Backup quarterback Jordan Love, a first-round 2020 draft pick, led the team in his first full NFL game, a loss to Kansas City.

Rodgers drew criticism after he tested positive for the coronavirus on Nov. 3 and revealed that he was not vaccinated. Critics have honed in on his initial claim he was "immunized" when asked about the COVID-19 vaccine, leading many to believe he was vaccinated.

While Rodgers said he took "full responsibility" for comments that "might have been misleading," he maintained the NFL knew he was not vaccinated and treated him as an unvaccinated player, meaning he had to undergo daily COVID-19 testing and wear a yellow wristband that signaled he was not vaccinated.

The quarterback said his reluctance to get vaccinated stemmed from an allergy to an ingredient in mRNA vaccines produced by Moderna and Pfizer. He also said he feared some of the side effects of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Rodgers stressed the importance of conducting personal research, saying he decided to take ivermectin, an antiparasitic that has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for treating COVID-19, after talking to podcaster Joe Rogan, who said the treatment helped with his own COVID-19 diagnosis.
