Ice cream truck drivers delivered a sweet farewell to a fellow driver who died.

During a funeral escort in South London on Friday, several ice cream trucks drove behind the hearse carrying the body of a former ice cream server. As they drove, the trucks played tunes such as "The Band Played On" and the Mister Softee jingle, according to the Daily Mail.

The jingles woke up local resident Louisa Davies, who recorded a portion of the procession as the music played.

"I'd never seen anything like this before so was quick shocked at first but then thought it was just the nicest most heartwarming send off," Davies told the news outlet. "I'd like to send my respects to the family and let them know this procession bought joy to a lot of people today."
