A woman was fatally shot Thursday evening in a car in Washington, D.C., with two children also in the vehicle, according to police, who are searching for two suspects.
The woman was unconscious and not breathing when officers found her at around 6 p.m. in Northeast Washington. The two children were not hurt, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. The woman was pronounced dead around 8:30 p.m, police told WUSA9.

The police department wrote on social media that it is searching for two male suspects who were both wearing all black when they fled the scene.

The MPD told the Washington Examiner on Thursday night that the investigation into the woman's death is ongoing.
