While endorsing Republican Rep. Ron DeSantis, Fla., in his gubernatorial campaign Saturday, President Trump called Tallahassee one of the worst, most corrupt cities in the U.S.
“Ron @RonDeSantisFL DeSantis is working hard. A great Congressman and top student at Harvard & Yale, Ron will be a record setting governor for Florida,” Trump posted to Twitter Saturday morning. “Rick Scott gave him tremendous foundations to further build on. His opponent runs one of the worst & most corrupt cities in USA!”

Andrew Gillum, who is challenging DeSantis in the race for Florida governor, is the mayor of Tallahassee.
Trump says current Gov. Rick Scott, R-Fla., has set the stage for DeSantis to be a “record setting governor for Florida.”
Scott is leaving his governorship and seeking a Florida Senate seat.
Trump says if Gillum were to beat DeSantis for governor in the 2018 midterm elections, he would destroy Florida.
“Rick Scott is known as easily one of the best Governors in the USA. Florida is setting records in almost every category of success,” Trump continued in another Saturday tweet. “Amazing achievement-the envy of the World. Ron DeSantis will build on this success. His incompetent opponent will destroy Florida - next Venezuela!”
