The political nonprofit group aligned with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is launching a $43.5 million advertising campaign that will blanket airwaves in five states with targeted Senate campaigns.

One Nation, the 501(c)4 affiliated with Senate Leadership Fund, the McConnell super PAC, is planning to advertise in Arizona, Georgia, New Hampshire, and Nevada, where vulnerable incumbent Senate Democrats are running for reelection, as well as in Wisconsin, where Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) is seeking a third term.

As a political nonprofit organization, One Nation's electioneering activities are limited by federal law.

But in choosing to sink resources into five 2022 battleground states that could determine the Senate majority, and by focusing its advertising on "record-high inflation" and the "chaos at the Southern border," One Nation is clearly using its advertising to improve Republican prospects at the ballot box this November.

"Americans are dealing with sky-high inflation, disappearing retirement savings, crime in their neighborhoods, and a tidal wave of illegal immigration in their communities," One Nation President Steven Law said in a statement.

"All of this was the predictable result of reckless spending and foolish policies emanating from Washington," he added. "We’re going to urge those who voted for this agenda harming Americans’ quality of life to change course."

A breakdown of the group's $43.5 million investment, with the advertising start dates, is as follows:

  • Arizona: $5.2 million (June 3)
  • Georgia: $17.1 million (May 31)
  • New Hampshire: $4.7 million (June 21)
  • Nevada: $7.6 million (June 21)
  • Wisconsin: $3.17 million (One Nation ads in this state are already running. This investment is in addition to $5.8 million already spent there.)

The Senate is split 50-50, with Republicans needing to win just one seat to recapture the majority lost in January 2021 due to Democrats winning a pair of Georgia runoffs.
